From 19/06/2013 onward, emails sent to our Ticketing Email System will be logged into the System.

All ticket will be given a Ticket ID for customer to refer to.

Customer is encouraged to refer to the Ticket ID when emailing for support.

Please refrain from sending multiple email regarding the same support request as this will slow down the time to get back to you.

Pay-It-Forward in Kind Community Project - On-Site IT Services

Pay-It-Forward in Kind Community Project – On-Site IT Services

Launching 1 July 2011.

As you already know the datacentre group is big on participating in community service projects that help disaster-stricken victims, the hungry and the less fortunate. It is no surprise that the Community Projects Division has organised a new Pay-It-Forward (PIF) in Kind Community Project for our clients to participate in and at that same time benefit from it.

From time to time, datacentre clients require our solution consultants to assist them on-site.

Traditionally, these on-site IT engineering services are:

$180 per on-site engineering hour + Transport of $80 per trip.

On-site IT services can cost thousands of dollars and you simply can't determine how many problems you may have in a year.

Making a bold and revolutionary step forward, starting from 1 July 2011, the datacentre's Community Projects Division is launching a new Pay-It-Forward in Kind Community Project (only for clients located in Singapore) where the on-site IT engineering services are:

$0 per on-site engineering hour.
(Regardless of how many hours the consultants require during that day.)

Clients just need to cover the transport of $80 per trip.
(For clients located in Singapore)

Instead on paying the datacentre group the cost of the on-site engineering hours, clients agree to Pay-It-Forward in kind by doing the following simple things,

1. The client will set the default webpage in all their company computers and laptops to point to www.ToFeed.org (a charity search engine powered by Google)

2. Company staff will use the charity search engine ToFeed.org when they search for information.

3. ToFeed.org will provide simple printed flyers for the client to distribute together with their catalogues, magazines, invoices etc.

4. The client is to insert the ToFeed.org community logo and link into their website and email signatures showing their support for the community project.

5. The client does not need to donate any money or waste time doing any after-office-hours community work.

If you wish to pay the normal full on-site IT service rate instead of taking part in this Pay-It-Forward plan, you may do so.

Security update exercise

Dear Customers,

Our datacentres will be conducting a security update exercise, the datacentre consultants will be calling account administrators individually to advise them on enhancing their computer security to synchronize with the servers.

As a gentle reminder good password practice involves setting alpha-numeric passwords with at least 8-15 characters. Special characters such as 'underscore' and 'dashes' will also improve the complexity and randomness of the password.

Passwords should be changed as frequently as possible. If possible, at least once every 3 months.

Upgrading server's Apache and PHP versions

On Monday, January 10, 2011, we will be upgrading our server's Apache and PHP versions to the latest stable releases so that we are current with the latest bugfixes and enhancements provided by the respective software vendors. Expected downtime is non-existent; a restart of Apache will enable the changes once the Apache build is complete.

Supporting Earth Hour 2010: 8.30PM at 27 March 2010

At 8:30pm on 27 March 2010, towns and cities across the world will turn off their lights for one hour sending a powerful global message that its possible to take action on climate change.

There are many ways business can support Earth Hour in 2010, from turning out the lights in buildings on the night through to communicating Earth Hour messaging and emissions targets to customers, tenants, partners and clients, to contributing financially.

1) Turn out lights at 8:30pm Saturday 27 March 2010
Turn out the lights in your buildings, facilities and signage for one hour at 8:30pm on Saturday 27 March 2010.

For larger buildings, the facilities and building managers need to manage the logistics of switching off non-essential lighting for Earth Hour - including neon lights - in and around your properties.



2) Communicate Earth Hour to partners, clients, suppliers and other networks
